We at JVIB understand that unfortunately the need to make an insurance claim can quite often be a stressful and emotional time for you. There are a number of steps you can take to simplify the process and reduce your personal stress. These will vary depending on the type of loss incurred.
The following basic guidelines can be adjusted according to your claims needs:
- Advise the police if it is a crime (obtain a copy of report & event number).
- Do not make any statements or admit liability.
- Advise JVIB.
- Complete incident report/claim form.
- Make sure area is safe and no further claims can occur.
- Await instructions.
